Marika

Nutritional Therapist

Marika is a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist with seven years of clinical experience working with a wide range of conditions; including Hashimoto’s disease, celiac disease, IBS, high cholesterol and fertility issues. Her main areas of interest are fertility and pregnancy support as well as cardiovascular problems. She sees clients from all over the world. Her approach in her practice is to work with the patient, who is the expert in their own health, to achieve maximum benefit.

She first became interested in health after spending 7 months in a French hospital recovering from a bad motorbike accident. After that she struggled to conceive and had to go through many rounds of IVF. This prompted her to study nutrition and get her health back on track.

Marika graduated from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Manchester, where she now teaches and enjoys helping students to become effective practitioners. Marika is accredited by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) a government-sponsored registration body for complementary healthcare practitioners. She is a registered member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT). She is also a Functional Medicine AFMCP graduate. Marika is originally from Finland and loves to spend her time with her 2 children, walking up the Munros in Scotland (52 done!) and her massive Irish Wolfhound called Karhu.

Amanda

Nutritional Therapist

Amanda graduated from the highly respected College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2014.  She is now the Director of Studies for the College in Manchester where she also works as a Clinic Supervisor and Lecturer.  After spending 12 years in Brazil following a naturopathic lifestyle Amanda became interested in studying nutrition and expanding her knowledge further.  Upon returning to the UK in 2010 she embarked upon her exciting journey and was able to resolve her own IBS and reflux symptoms at the same time.

She works with clients in the West Yorkshire area to support symptoms associated with a wide variety of health conditions from autoimmune diseases to IBS, skin conditions to hormonal imbalances to name a few.  She provides one-to-one consultations, group work in the workplace, runs workshops and enjoys the challenge of getting to the root cause of her clients’ symptoms, helping them achieve their well-being goals. Her particular areas of interest are GUT health and the menopause.

“I absolutely love my job and feel blessed to be able to work in such a rewarding field. I enjoy empowering and educating my clients to encourage them to make nutritional and lifestyle changes to improve their health and well-being for life.”

Hannah

Nutritional Therapist

Hannah graduated from CNELM in 2019 with a Master's in Personalised Nutrition. As part of the degree, Hannah also undertook NLP training to further help people reach their nutrition and health goals. Prior to that, Hannah had completed an undergraduate degree in Public Health Nutrition and worked as a nutritionist but she always felt that there was a gap in her knowledge and wanted to complete a course that allowed her to practise more holistically and work with people with more complex health needs.

Hannah has always been interested in and enjoyed cooking from being a toddler. She is passionate about real food and the benefits of eating a fresh, unprocessed diet. Having suffered with gut issues for many years, Hannah is passionate about gut health and the impact this can have on people’s lives. She is also interested in MCAS and histamine intolerance.

Hannah lives on the edge of the Peak District with her husband, baby daughter and 2 dogs, Strider, a black labrador, and Reggie a border collie. She enjoys walking in the Peak District at the weekend, cooking, and spending time in the garden.

Sara

Nutritional Therapist

Sara has always had a passion for health from a young age and a fascination with the medicinal powers of food and nature after hearing stories of how her great grandad was nursed back to health using poultices and natural remedies after the first world war.

She graduated from the University of South Wales in 2006 with a degree in Chiropractic and qualified from the College of Naturopathic Medicine as a nutritional therapist in 2014. She has also completed courses in Emotional Freedom Technique and has an interest in the mind-body connection.

"I genuinely love to help people so if I can I will always try to get to the bottom of a health problem for someone. There are so many factors at play when a person becomes unwell. I like to help people discover their unique reasons. It's helpful to find and manage the cause, not just the symptoms."

Working with our practitioner team
If you are working with a healthcare professional, who has recommended products to you, they should always be consulted first before speaking with one of our in-house practitioners.

If for any reason you cannot contact your practitioner and you need help, we will always try our best to assist you. Our practitioners can offer general advice, based solely upon the information provided to them by the client. It is important that you refer back to your own healthcare provider before acting upon the advice of our practitioners as we do not have access to your full case history.
