CurcuWIN 500 - 60 Capsules | Allergy Research Group
Description
CurcuWIN 500 is a curcumin supplement containing a form of curcuminoids (UltraSOL Nutrient Delivery System) with up to 46x increased absorption compared to standard curcumin.
Turmeric and its extracts are well known for being poorly absorbed. CurcuWIN® 500 contains turmeric (Curcuma longa) root extract, concentrated to a minimum of 20% curcuminoids. The UltraSOL Nutrient Delivery System increases relative absorption of total curcuminoids over standard curcumin by 46-times, with higher serum concentrations after 12 hours. The curcuminoids are preserved in the same profile as found naturally in turmeric.
Consumption of OmniActive Health Technologies’ recently launched CurcuWin curcumin form may significantly increase serum curcuminoid levels over standard curcumin and some other curcumin formulations, says a new study funded by OmniActive.
The word “curcumin” appears in over 23,000 published studies in PubMed (as at October 2018). The reason for this is that curcumin, the active ingredient of the dietary spice turmeric, has been consumed for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, and has therefore prompted this modern scientific research. Modern science has shown that curcumin modulates various signaling molecules, including inflammatory molecules, transcription factors, enzymes, protein kinases, protein reductases, carrier proteins, cell survival proteins, drug resistance proteins, adhesion molecules, growth factors, receptors, cell-cycle regulatory proteins, chemokines, DNA, RNA, and metal ions.
It is the ability of this polyphenol curcumin to modulate multiple signaling molecules that has given rise to the appreciation that it possesses pleiotropic activities.
This particular delivery format for the curcuminoids achieves a significantly higher level of absorption than traditional food use.
