Integrative Therapeutics’ Similase is used to promote proper digestion and a healthy digestive tract. Similase is a combination of plant enzymes that support the complete digestion of nutrients like carbohydrates‚ proteins‚ and fats.

The plant enzymes used in Similase are different than most enzymes because unlike most animal-derived or naturally occurring enzymes‚ they’re able to work in the stomach‚ instead of just in the small intestine like non-plant enzymes.

Similase contains a number of enzymes‚ each of which has specific beneficial functions. Some of the enzymes‚ such as protease and amylase‚ are normally produced by your body naturally. Unfortunately‚ your body may not produce sufficient levels of these enzymes if you have a poorly functioning pancreas. If your pancreas produces too little protease‚ it’ll allow undigested protein into the intestinal tract‚ which may result in uncomfortable digestive problems.

The primary role of amylase is to break down carbohydrates‚ although it’s also commonly used as an anti-inflammatory. Malt diastase‚ meanwhile‚ is the enzyme that helps break down carbohydrates. Diastase is the natural form of amylase‚ and is also able to assist amylase in its own functions. Like other enzymes‚ it helps promote a healthy digestive system.

The function of lipase is to break down fat (lipid) molecules. It’s also important for digesting fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A‚ vitamin D‚ and vitamin E. A lipase deficiency may contribute to deficiencies in certain vitamins.

Cellulase isn’t naturally produced by your body‚ which makes intake from food or supplements vital. The problem is that cellulose can only be found in raw food‚ which many people today don’t eat on a daily basis. Cellulase helps digest cellulose‚ a substance that’s poorly digested by the body; a cellulose deficiency can lead to a number of health conditions that involve the intestines and nervous system.

Lactase is one of the most well-known enzymes‚ and is responsible for breaking down lactose. If you’re lactose intolerant‚ your body doesn’t produce sufficient amounts of lactase enzymes‚ and therefore need to avoid dairy products.

All of these ingredients are combined in Similase to support digestive health. Each bottle contains 180 ultra capsules.
