Innate Detox exemplifies the formulation philosophy of Innate Response. The concept of enhancing the body’s own innate ability to detoxify itself and clear the pathways to rid the body of harmful toxins is consistent with the overarching mission of Innate. In addition, by including less ingredients at clinically effective dosages, Innate Detox shines as one of the industry’s premier therapeutic purification products. By combining the most supportive, potent botanicals such as milk thistle and dandelion with a therapeutic dosage of N-acetyl cysteine with a cruciferous food blend Innate Detox brings about the most profound effect on the detoxification pathways of the liver.

This formula is a foundational purification product that is ideal for patients intending to bring about a purifying change to their overall health and incorporate powerful liver support with synergistic cofactors and supportive nutrients.
Milk Thistle: Milk thistle extract may support the liver by optimizing the detoxification pathways, specifically phase 1. As with other bioflavonoids, silymarin can be a powerful antioxidant, which becomes critical during the detoxification process expecially after phase 1 is completed.
N-Acetyl Cysteine: NAC is an amino acid and precursor to intracellular cysteine and glutathione, both of which are integral to the detoxification pathways. Studies have demonstrated that NAC appears to exert protective effects by modulating glutathione metabolism and the biotransformation of mutagenic compounds.
One of the hallmarks that Innate has built its foundation on has been its respect and embrace of whole foods. The following foods have been included for their detoxifying properties.
Broccoli: In particular, the sulfur-containing part of plant cells in broccoli has been demonstrated to be an indirect antioxidant. A 2012 study published in Frontiers in Genetics, sulforaphane, as the compound is called, has an incredible ability to get certain enzymes to express. This is done by signaling genes in the cell nucleus. These particular enzymes activate the detoxification and antioxidant process.
Cabbage: This cruciferous vegetable has long been known to have a positive impact on the body’s ability to detoxify itself. Supporting this are the results of a 2011 study indicating that induction of the key detoxifying enzymes by cabbage may be responsible for their preventive activity demonstrated by epidemiological studies.
Spinach: This dark leafy vegetable is rich in B vitamins, magnesium, iron, vitamin E and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is responsible for the color in dark green vegetables. According to the Oregon State University Linus Pauling Institute, chlorophyll helps to eliminate toxins from the body.
