At the end of my medical training, I was dismayed to learn that -while I was prepared to take care of hospital patients- I did not have the skills to help my patients with chronic illness. I was stumped by functional GI disorders, particularly IBS.
It seemed the only answers being given to these patients were fibre supplements, colonoscopies and antidepressants. I also found that some of the functional medicine protocols being taught were slow, unnecessarily complicated, expensive for patients, and largely ineffective.
As I began incorporating more functional medicine tools into my clinical practice, I found again and again that working with the gut was one of the surest ways to help my patients improve. It was amazing to not only see their bloating, loose stools, and abdominal pain recede, but also watch their joint pain diminish, their acne fade away, and their energy improve!
Since then, I’ve found ways to improve outcomes and speed recovery for patients with IBS. Over the last ten years, I've worked with patients around the world to figure out the reasons why they are experiencing GI symptoms and the methods that are most likely to help them.
Throughout this masterclass series, I want to share with you my perspective on the strategies, tools and methods that help my patients. We’ll also review the pitfalls, so you can skip the dead ends and get right to helping your clients!
I promise that you’ll find this masterclass engaging, fun, and packed full of case studies and actionable material for you to level up your GI care.
I can’t wait to see you in class!
